Credits
How API credits are spent.
Every successful call costs 1 API credit, whichever endpoint it is. Errors are free: any 4xx
or 5xx response costs nothing, including not-found lookups. A search that matches nothing is also
free.

Free answers are not unlimited: not-found lookups and empty searches together count towards the not-found cap of 100 per key per day.
Your monthly volume
Your monthly call volume is your plan's API credits. Plans last 30 days.

There is no separate per-day limit for live keys.
Checking your balance
Successful responses on live keys include your balance in the X-Credits-Remaining header and in
meta.credits_remaining in the body (an empty search reports it too). When it reaches 0, calls fail with 402 credits_exhausted
(free) until your plan renews or you add credits. Your balance is cached for up to 60 seconds, so
after a renewal or top-up a 402 can persist for up to a minute; retry after that.
